Leinster's Jack Conan set to miss two months after ankle surgery

Jack Conan is expected to miss at least two months after receiving surgery for an ankle injury, Leinster confirmed today.

The 24-year-old suffered the injury during a pre-season game against Gloucester on August 20 and required surgery which is expected to see him miss upcoming matches against last year's Pro12 semi-finalists Glasgow and provincial rivals Munster.

Meanwhile, the province are expecting a swift return for captain Isa Nacewa and Dave Kearney. The pair have both resumed full contact training and will be assessed later this week.

Ian Nagle is likely to miss another "few weeks" after picking up a shoulder knock against Bath in pre-season.
