After coming through yesterday's fight backed by a unanimous 3-0 win, the Belfast born fighter dusted off the challenge of Dzmitry Asanau of Belarus to book his place in the final of the World Boxing Championships.
Conlon is now the third Irish boxer to win medals at Olympic, European and now World level joining the elite group of homegrown fighters Katie Taylor and John Joe Kevin. And now he becomes just the second Irish man to reach the final of the World Boxing Championships. The Irish team captain can add all these impressive feats to his Commonwealth gold medal.
Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, @mickconlan11 has become just the second Irishman to reach final at World Boxing Championships.
