Munster confirm Tyler Bleyendaal fitness boost

Munster have confirmed that Tyler Bleyendaal will return to training this week ahead of the Guinness Pro 12 playoff semi final against Ospreys.

The out half had suffered a bicep injury in the recent clash against Connacht at Thomond Park but Munster director of rugby Rassie Erasmus has revealed that the province's Player of the Year Bleyendaal is expected to return to action.

The same applies to Alex Wootton, who had sustained a hamstring injury in the same match against Connacht.

The former Ireland under-20 wing is also expected to return to training this week.

However, Ronan O’Mahony (fibula), Robin Copeland (shoulder), Jean Kleyn (neck), Dave Foley (wrist), Sean McCarthy (knee), Mike Sherry (back), Dave O’Callaghan (knee) are all unavailable with their respective injuries.

Victory over Ospreys on Saturday at Thomond Park on Saturday will see Munster reach their first Pro 12 final since 2015 when they faced Glasgow Warriors at Kingspan Stadium but lost 31-13.
