Ireland will face New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals should they lose France on Sunday after the All-Blacks won Pool C.
New Zealand beat Tonga 47-9 at St James' Park in Newcastle to make sure of supremacy in the pool, meaning Argentina qualify in second place.
The defending champions will now play a quarter-final against whoever loses in Sunday's contest between Ireland and France, while Ireland will face Argentina if they beat Les Bleus.
