Leinster flanker Rhys Ruddock was pleased with the way his side managed the elements after a commendable 34-18 win over Glasgow in the Champions Cup on Saturday.
Speaking to Off the Ball's Dave McIntyre after the game, he said: "There's certainly a lot of that which we are very pleased with and we knew that Glasgow, being a very proud outfit that after narrowly losing last week, that they'd be dying to get out and put in a performance and beat us today at home.
"We knew we were up against it but aspects of our game were really good and therefore we didn't really allow them to get into the game for large parts of it but they did show when given space and when allowed to hold onto the ball that they're a really dangerous team and caused us a lot of trouble at times as well.
"Having the wind in the second half, we knew that the sensible thing to do was to play the percentages and look for an opportunity down in their half. We had to be patient and we were lucky that we managed to get out and put some pressure on them and certainly when we were around their 22 with line-out/scrum opportunities - we felt that was an opportunity to put some pressure on them and get a few tries on the back of it.

Asked about the current competition in the province's back-row, he said: "All along, all of us are striving to put out our best performance. It's a lot more enjoyable when you're playing well and you can be confident when you're going out onto the field.
"That's been my approach this year, as always, just focusing on the process, giving every week my best level of effort and then the performances have been positive on the back of it. There's huge competition in this Leinster team and I'm under no illusions that with everyone fit - that level of performance may still not be good enough."
Looking ahead to the November internationals, Ruddock said: "I feel like the times I've been able to get a run of games and stay injury free has led me to play in the way I want to play and that's kind of been the key.
"I felt like the end of last season was another period leading into the last few games for Leinster and the tour with Ireland was a period I really enjoyed and I was able to stay injury free," he added.
