Rory Best has signed a new two-year contract with Ulster.
The Ireland hooker, who made his provincial debut in 2004, will now remain at Kingspan Stadium until 2018.
The 33-year-old has made 172 appearances for his province.
"I am very happy to have signed a two year Irish contract to remain with Ulster Rugby. It is a great honour to play for Ulster and Ireland and I am privileged to have the opportunity to captain this talented group of Ulster players. Our challenge now is to deliver on the promise we have shown and reward our fans with strong performances," he said in reaction to the announcement.
Meawnhile, Ruan Pienaar will earn his 100th Ulster cap tomorrow when he lines out at scrum-half for Ulster against Leinster on Friday night.
