The Southern Hemisphere's premier club rugby competition made its return this weekend with the addition of two new teams.
Argentina and Japan both have franchises involved in the Super Rugby tournament for the first time, with the South Americans making a major impact following their opening game.
Los Jaguares overturned a 21 point first half deficit to win a thrilling game 34-33 that saw scrum half Martin Landajo score an early contender for Try of the Season against the Cheetahs.

Elsewhwere, Japanese franchise the Sunwolves lost out in their tournament debut to South African side the Emirates Lions 26-13, with Shota Horie scoring the sides first ever try in the competition.

Elswhere, 2013 and 2014 champions the Chiefs overcame a Crusaders playing without New Zealand stalwarts Dan Carter and Richie McCaw by 27-21.
In Australia, the Rebels and Waratahs picked up opening round wins, defeating Western Force and the Queensland Reds respectively, with Kurtley Beale putting in a cracking try saving tackle for the 'Tahs.

There were also opening weekend victories for the Auckland Blues as they defeated defending champions the Highlanders in an the other all New Zealand affair, while the Brumbies racked up a score against Beauden Barret's Hurricanes in Canberra.
