Fiji face England in the opening game of this year's Rugby World Cup. The Fijians go into the game as outsiders and will struggle to qualify from what is generally seen as the "Pool of Death".

World Ranking: Nine

Key Player: Nikola Matawalu. The scrum half was an integral part of Glasgow's Pro 12 winning side last season. He has since moved to Bath and is expected to star in the Premiership after the World Cup.

Best Result: Quarter Finals in 1987 and 2007

Fiji have reached the quarter finals of a World Cup as recently as 2007. There most famous win of that tournament came against Wales in Pool B. They won the game in Marseille 38-34 to finish behind Australia in the Pool. They would eventually lose to South Africa in the quarter finals in Marseille.

Did you know?: Leinster’s Isa Nacewa played for Fiji in the 2003 World Cup. He made his only appearance against Scotland in the 22-20 loss in Sydney.
