"It's their worst ever result, probably their worst ever performance"

It was definitely not the way that Leo Cullen would have wanted to start his first ever European game in charge of Leinster.

The province succumbed to a 33-6 at home to Wasps, with tough pool matches against Toulon and Bath still to come in the Champions Cup this season.

"It was absolutely horrible and you could feel [Cullen's] pain watching on. It's their worst ever result, probably their worst ever performance," said former Ireland second row Trevor Hogan on Off The Ball, although he was impressed by aspects of Leinster's start to the match.

"But there were signs, when they got into the '22, I think the word Leo Cullen was using was 'disjointed'. There were times when they got into the '22 where Reddan didn't know if he was hitting Sexton or was hitting upon the forwards coming around.

"The pace dropped off when they got into the '22 whereas usually Leinster are really high-tempo there, they know what they're doing, they're picking and going, they're really aggressive. But they seemed like they slowed down as they got in there."
