Ulster Player Ratings: Ospreys all but end the northern province's season

Ulster's season came to a disappointing conclusion in Wales on Saturday after a 24-10 defeat to the Ospreys.

They still have a mathematical chance of making the play-offs but their season is over in all likelihood.

We rate Less Kiss' men after defeat in Wales:

Craig Gilroy - 6

A threat whenever he got the ball. A pity he didn't get it more.

Andrew Trimble - 6

Tried to get his team going but it just wouldn't click.

Luke Marshall - 6

Could never really get into the game but did little wrong either.

Stuart McCloskey - 7

Ulster's best player. Made the hard yards whenever he got the ball. Surprsing to see him go off so early (unless injured).

Charles Piutau - 5

Very quiet game by his high standards. Looked disinterested for most of the match.

Paddy Jackson - 7

Tried to get his team going and attakced the gain line throughout.

Ruan Pienaar - N/A

Off injured early.

Andrew Warwick - 6

Got about the field and made a brilliant break on 52 minutes.

Rory Best - 7

Struggled at times with his line-out throwing but worked tirelessly around the park.

Wiehahn Herbst - 5

Endured a tough afternoon in the scrum but made the hard yards when called upon.

K Treadwell - 6

Industrious display in the face of constant pressure from the Ospreys.

Alan O'Connor - 6

Like his second row partner, got through a mountain of work.

Iain Henderson - 6

Gave away a sloppy penalty early on but grew into the game.

Sean Reidy - 5

Outplayed by his opposite number as Tipuric owned the breakdown areas.

Robbie Diack - 5

Fairly anonymous display throughout. Needed a big game to keep Ulster's season alive but didn't deliver.

Bench - 6

Jacob Stockdale's performance suggested he should have started while Paul Marshall took over from Pienaar effortlessly.
