WATCH: Six of the best of Ireland's tries against England

It hasn't been a great Six Nations so far for Joe Schmidt's side, as they are yet to secure a win in this year's tournament.

On Saturday, they come up against an England side with a new coach in Eddie Jones, and while he has been making plenty of noise ahead of the game, the stats suggest that it will be a very difficult game for Ireland.

Jones and his backroom team made Japan a force to be reckoned with at the World Cup, particularly from the set piece, and in their two games in charge so far, England have yet to concede a try.

However, there are also changes to the Ireland squad with new faces coming in, and there's no doubt that there's a rivalry between these two sides that can bring the best out in both sides, no matter what form they find themselves in.

That rivalry has produced some fantastic games over the years, as well as a number of memorable tries, so here are six of the best to get you in the mood for another intriguing encounter.

Mick Galwey, 1993

Ireland welcomed England, the heavy favourites, and it looked as though a third defeat of the tournament was on the cards for Gerry Murphy's team. However, a huge hit on England skipper Will Carling saw him lose possession, and when Ireland eventually recovered the ball, it was Galwey who stormed over the line to touch it down and seal a 17-3 win.

Brian O'Driscoll, 2009

The year Ireland won the Grand Slam, Brian O'Driscoll was a key figure in the side. In a typically gritty and determined performance, O'Driscoll showed once again that he was willing to put it all on the line to score a crucial try for Ireland.

Keith Wood, 2001

A magnificent move from the lineout was finished off with speed and power as Keith Wood took the ball in hand and charged over, catching the English defence napping.

Shane Horgan, 2006

Horgan used every inch of his substantial height to reach and stretch, touching the ball down and giving Ireland a vital try with time ticking away on the clock. Ronan O'Gara also nailed a brilliant conversion to add to it too.

Shane Horgan, 2007

Not content with one memorable try against England, Horgan was on hand again to benefit from a superb kick from O'Gara that found him in space and in perfect position to touch down for a try.

Ginger McLoughlin, 1982

"Festooned with Saxons", McLoughlin smashed over the line against England after some brilliantly soft hands in the build up from Ireland.

And finally, while it's not a try, one of the most memorable moments in all the matches between England and Ireland was the singing of the anthems at Croke Park when the two teams met there in 2007.
