After New Zealand's win over Australia in the World Cup final, one of the most iconic images was Sonny Bill Williams giving supporter Charlie Lines his winners medal.
Lines ran out on the Twickenham pitch after the game, to hug Williams, but was tackled to the ground by security guards. Williams noticed the tackle and brought the 14 year old back to his mother before handing him his World Cup winners medal.
At last night's World Rugby Awards, Williams was given a replacement medal and a standing ovation from the crowd for his gesture over 24 hours before.

The two time World Cup winner was delighted with the gesture from World Rugby. Williams is leaving the 15 man code for a year and hopes to help the New Zealand Sevens team with gold at next years Olympic Games.
