Despite the biggest game of the year taking place this weekend, the IRPA have released their shortlist for the try of the year.
Of the six tries up for consideration, three came in the World Cup. Ayumu Goromaru's try for Japan against South Africa in Brighton is one of the tries nominated along with two of Julian Savea's tries for New Zealand against France in the World Cup quarter final.
Three tries from other internationals throughout the year also make the list. France prop Vincent Debaty is nominated for his lung busting try against England in the Six Nations. Welsh flanker Justin Tipuric is also nominated for his score against Ireland in a World Cup warm up game in Cardiff.
The final try was scored Tongan winger Fetu'u Vainikolo in a Pacific Nations Cup match against USA in Toronto earlier this year.
The winner will be announced after the World Cup concludes.
