Football fans continue to be priced out of attending football matches as ticket prices consistently rise.
Fan groups are involved in a series of schemes trying to reduce ticket prices to games including the "Twenty's Plenty" plan which caps a ticket price at £20 for away fans.
While the scheme has yet to gain broad acceptance, one Premier League club are charging more than double that price for children to see their home games. In their last season at the Boleyn Ground, West Ham United are charging under 16's, £45 to see their side face Chelsea later this month.
The fixture is deemed as a Category A game which means "special General Sale prices for this fixture". Even so, charging £45 to children to watch a game of football, is something that needs to be looked at for the good of the game.
