Napoli head coach Rafa Benitez says there is nothing in reports that he has held talks with Manchester City about becoming their new manager.
It has been rumoured the former Liverpool and Chelsea boss could replace Manuel Pellegrini, if the club decide to sack the Chilean.
Benitez is yet to sign a new contract with the Italian side, with his current deal expiring this summer.
"I have not had contacts with City, unlike what I’ve read in England," he said.
His Napoli team are currently fourth in Serie A after finishing third last season, but could qualify for the Champions League through the Europa League.
Benitez, who has won that tournament twice before (once as the UEFA Cup) are well placed to reach the Europa League semis after thrashing Wolfsburg 4-1 in their quarter-final first leg.
