Clinton Morrison: 'A bit of poor finishing and wrong decision-making cost us'

Clinton Morrison believes poor finishing and bad luck cost Ireland a crucial victory against Scotland in the 1-1 Euro 2016 qualifier draw today.

The ex-Boys in Green striker was at the Aviva Stadium for Off The Ball alongside Nathan Murphy, and  also believes manager Martin O'Neill should not be blamed for failing to deliver victory.

"I don't think anyone can take the blame. Ireland have been the better team. Martin O'Neill set up his team perfectly and we were winning 1-0. They've just scored a lucky goal that was nearly going to hit the corner flag but hit John O'Shea's back," he said.

"It's just one of things and since then they hadn't even been a threat and we were the ones that were pushing. But a bit of poor finishing and wrong decision-making cost us and that's why at international level, when you get chances, you've got to put them away because they won't come along every five minutes."
