Don't count out Klopp to Bayern if Beckenbauer's quotes are anything to go by

In the last few years, Bayern Munich have been criticised for making a point of attracting players from Borussia Dortmund, thereby rendering their rivals to be weakened.

In the weeks leading up to the 2013 Champions League final between the sides, Dortmund's most promising young player Mario Gotze announced that he would be switching to Bayern, while Robert Lewandowski made the same transition a year later.

If Bayern Munich and Germany legend Franz Beckenbauer has any influence, Dortmund's outgoing manager Jurgen Klopp could join the Bavarians after Pep Guardiola's tenure.

Klopp is a free agent this summer and has been linked with a Premier League move, while Guardiola's contract with Germany's newly crowned champions ends in 2016, so Beckenbauer has suggested that Dortmund's soon-to-be former manager could be the person to fill the vacancy.

"Of course I could imagine Klopp as Guardiola’s successor. When I was president, we often talked about Klopp and believe he would fit very well at Bayern. Klopp is definitely an option at Bayern. The question is, how long Guardiola will be in Munich. I hope for a long time, but Klopp would be considered," Beckenbauer told Sky Sports Germany.
