There were twenty games in total down for decision in the third round of the FA Cup today. 

Non-league side Chorley provided the first upset of the year with a 2-0 win over a youthful Derby County.

Connor Hall and Mike Calveley scored in each half for the hosts at Victory Park.

The Rams were without their first-team players and manager Wayne Rooney after a coronavirus spike in the club during the week which forced them to close their Moor Farm training ground on Monday.

Elsewhere at lunchtime, Norwich defeated Coventry 2-0, Millwall were also 2-0 winners at Boreham Wood.

Nottingham Forest overcame Cardiff 1-0 in their all Championship encounter while Luton enjoyed a 1-0 home victory over Reading.

And Everton needed extra-time to beat Rotherham 2-1 at Goodison Park.

In the three o'clock games, Burnley avoided a slip-up at Turf Moor where they needed penalties to beat League One side MK Dons 2-1.

Fulham beat west London neighbours QPR 2-0 after extra-time at Loftus Road.

Sam Allardyce's West Brom side were knocked out of the competition by his former club Blackpool, after being beaten 3-2 on penalties.

Leicester City enjoyed an impressive 4-0 over Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.

James Justin, Marc Albrighton, Ayoze Perez and Harvey Barnes all scored for the Foxes.

Doncaster enjoyed a 1-0 win away from home over Blackburn while Premier League strugglers Sheffield United beat Bristol Rovers 3-2.

Sheffield Wednesday beat Exeter 2-0 and Bournemouth hammered Oldham 4-1.

Swansea beat Stevenage 2-0, Wycombe sailed past Preston with a 4-1 victory while Plymouth were 3-2 winners over Huddersfield.

Championship promotion hopefuls Brentford got back to winning ways after their midweek semi-final loss to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup, they beat Middlesborough 2-1 in London.

Reigning champions Arsenal beat Newcastle United 2-0 after extra-time this evening at the Emirates.

Emile Smith Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both found the back of the net for Mikel Arteta's side.

And Manchester United beat Watford 1-0 at Old Trafford thanks to a Scott McTominay goal in the 5th minute.
