Fahey hits back at Collins 'embarrassed' comments

Keith Fahey reckons he could hold his own in League 2 with his eyes closed. That’s according to this tweet posted by the St. Patrick’s Athletic midfielder today:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>In response to some garbage ive just read.. I&#39;d play League 2 football with my eyes closed.. 🙈</p>&mdash; Keith Fahey (@Keith_Fahey) <a href="https://twitter.com/Keith_Fahey/status/529666431685001216">November 4, 2014</a></blockquote>

The tweet comes a day after Roddy Collins claimed that John Still, the manager of Luton Town, stated that no player on show in Sunday’s FAI Ford Cup final could make it into his team. Luton Town play their football in League Two.

“People over here have the perception that we have players that could walk into championship clubs” said Collins.

“But what was on display yesterday I was disappointed and a little bit embarrassed to be honest with you.”

Roddy Collins will be on Off the Ball this evening in the company of Stuey Byrne and St. Pat’s captain Ger O’Brien for further reflection on Sunday’s clash at the Aviva.
