Four all Premier Division ties in this weekend's FAI Cup

Holders St Patrick's Athletic will travel to Turner's Cross for a real heavyweight clash in in the Third Round of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Senior Cup later tonight.

John Caulfield's Cork City side will be determined to end the Saints' reign in a game which will be played before the television cameras this evening. The Rebel Army are currently second in the Premier Division with St Pat's in fourth.

Another potentially cracking tie sees SSE Airtricity League champions and current leaders Dundalk FC travel to Eamonn Deacy Park to face Galway United in a repeat of their recent EA Sports Cup semi-final which the Tribesmen won in a famous upset.

Bohemians boss Keith Long will look to continue his side's impressive season when they host his former club Bray Wanderers in another all-Premier Division tie at Dalymount Park. Wanderers recently beat Bohs in the league so the home side will be keen to turn things around in a cup tie which could go either way.

Derry City have started to show something of their best form in recent weeks and they will look to take advantage of that when they welcome Drogheda United to the Brandywell Stadium. This competition offers an opportunity for both sides to make a push for silverware this season so there is much to play for.

An interesting feature of this season's campaign has been the success of non-league sides in the the Irish Daily Mail FAI Senior Cup and AUL outfit Sherriff YC will seek to cause an upset against First Division Athlone Town at Alfie Byrne Road this evening. The non-league side have proved their quality at FAI Junior Cup level in recent years so they'll be looking to go as far as possible in the senior competition.

An all-Leinster Senior League tie sees Tolka Rovers host Killester United at Frank Cooke Park on Friday while Saturday sees Ulster Senior League outfit Cockhill Celtic looking to cause a shock against Longford Town at Charlie O’Donnell Sports Grounds while Munster Senior League outfit Cobh Wanderers will have the same goal when they host Sligo Rovers at St Colman’s Park, the home of their neighbours Cobh Ramblers.
