Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista will be a "bargain" for Arsenal at €20M according to European football expert Graham Hunter.
Speaking to Off The Ball on his customary Thursday night slot, Graham gave his take on the Brazilian centre-back who is the subject of a bid from Asrene Wenger's side.
"Gabriel Paulista is footballer of some promise. He's very, very quick, very aggressive, loves a tackle. He's not built like a man mountain, nothing like Fazio who Arsenal looked at but Spurs took. But what he is, is a footballer who could very easily adapt. But it's only this season that he's really established himself at Villarreal," said Graham, who also suggested that Wenger is "perennially scared to make decisions" based on backing out of a deal for Gonzalo Higuain the summer before last.
While, he would need to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League, Graham does feel that "€20M is a bargain price that Arsenal should pay."
With Manchester United's Darren Fletcher linked with Valencia, Graham gave his take on the financial situation at the club, given that they now have a wealthy owner in Peter Lim and are fighting for a Champions League spot.
He also gave his assessment of attacking midfielder Carles Gil, who has swapped Valencia for Aston Villa, and why Los Che had to sell him.
