Here's how bad the situation has really been for Bray Wanderers' players of late

In what has been a troubled season for Bray Wanderers, the League of Ireland Premier Division club are already onto their fourth manager of the campaign.

Alan Mathews started the season in charge, before Maciej Tarnogrodzki served as a caretaker. Former Shamrock Rovers boss Trevor Croly then took over but left yesterday to be replaced by ex-Drogheda United counterpart Mick Cooke today.

We spoke to one of their senior players, David Cassidy, on Off The Ball tonight and he gave us a real insight into the problems at the club, from a player's perspective, especially when it comes to getting wages on time.

He said: "A lot of papers and a lot of reports are saying it's only three payments and why is there such a big deal over three payments. But what people don't realise is that it's happened over four months. Every pay day there's been an issue, either something that's late and everything being late or something has been wrong. It just came to a head this month when, again, payments were late. Some payments were wrong and then some payments bounced - not only players, but people that facilitate the club and staff at the club. It's just unacceptable for a football team in this country for this to go on."

Cassidy also suggested that "if things don't change, then there will be players looking to leave" the club.
