How did Ireland's potential opponents reach the play offs?

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Hungary and Sweden. One of those four teams is all that stands between Ireland and a place at Euro 2016 after the European Qualifiers concluded last night.

Lets have a look and see how all four sides reached the play offs.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Two away losses and a draw against the other teams in the top four augurs well for Martin O'Neill's side. The Dragons lost 3-1 to Belgium and 3-0 to Israel away from home. Their record in Zenica was stronger where they defeated Wales and Israel. Their only home loss came against Cyprus.

Ukraine

The Euro 2012 co-hosts lost their two home games to the teams that finished above them, losing 1-0 to both Spain and Slovakia. Away from home, they were also unable to beat the top two, drawing in Slovakia and losing to the European champions in Seville.

Hungary

Group F was the most volatile in the Euro 2016 qualifiers. The top seeds in the group finished last as the fifth seeds finished top. Hungary's only two losses came at home to Northern Ireland in their opening game and away to Greece in their final game. They drew both matches with second placed Ukraine.

Sweden

Sweden's two losses in the group came to Austria at home and Russia away. A draw away to Montenegro was the main reason Erik Hamren's side finished in third place but it should be noted they were the only side to take points of Austria in Group G.
