Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane is warning the players not to overlook the quality of Denmark.
The Boys in Green avoided Italy, Croatia and Switzerland to be handed what appears to be the favourable draw of facing Denmark for a place in the 2018 World Cup.
Keane though is wary of complacency creeping into the players mindsets. The former skipper feels they are a side not to be taken lightly:
"I think to be fair, we were probably hoping to avoid Italy," Keane told ITV sport.
"They will be very strong and well capable of qualifying for World Cups.
"I wasn't too worried about which leg was first, we were focused on the draw.
"Obviously Martin has done a great job, the players have been brilliant. We are so near but yet so far and we have a tough few games ahead.
“We don't need to remind anyone how tough it, Denmark at the seeded team, so it is going to be difficult."
“I wasn't too worried about where the second leg would be," he added.
“If we lose 4-0 in the first leg, it is going to be hard going, but we are looking forward to it. If we are still in the tie after the first leg, bring it on."
The away leg will take place on Saturday November 11th with the home leg fixed for the Aviva Stadium the following Tuesday, November 14th. Both will kick-off at 7:45pm Irish time.
