Ireland have a rest day in Versalles after Sweden draw

The Irish team took part in "a light recovery session" on Tuesday morning, after the team's 1-1 draw with Sweden in the Stade de France.

It is the second time in five days that the team have not spoken to the media, Under UEFA rules, all teams are only allowed one day during the tournament where they do not speak to the media.

In the FAI's original media schedule, that day off was due to take place the day after the Belgium game, as the team travelled back from Bordeaux to Versailles.

As was the case last Friday, manager Martin O'Neill will be expected to speak on Tuesday afternoon, via the FAI's media channel.

Jonathan Walters remains Ireland's biggest injury worry ahead of the game against Belgium. The Stoke City striker left the field in the second half as he returns to fitness from an achilles injury.

A win in Bordeaux this weekend against Belgium, should be enough to see Ireland advance to the second round of the tournament.
