Germany manager Joachim Löw reckons Ireland have it all to play for and that his world conquering side shouldn't underestimate the threat of Martin O'Neill's side.
Ireland head into the game third in the group, but still have the opportunity to qualify automatically depending on different permutations.
Qualification could be secured if Poland manage to beat Scotland at Hampden Park, irrelevant of proceedings in the Aviva Stadium.
However, Löw isn't taking anything for granted heading into the game and reckons that Ireland are a threat to Germany's progress in the group.
“They’re stronger physically than Scotland. They play more imaginatively in attack than the Scots. So we have to look out for that" he said speaking this afternoon.
“They know how to make life difficult for the opposition, they’re very robust and they can also play on the counter.
“Ireland have it all to play for, they can qualify directly or at least [finish] third. We also know just like Scotland, they will fight until the last minute.
“But we want to take the game to them and impose our own match philosophy.”
Many of his side were involved in Der Klassiker between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich this weekend and acknowledged that the team may need to rest up before the fixture.
“Last Sunday, many of my players were involved. When I looked at them, I saw they needed days of regeneration.
“We formed two training groups and resolved to have just one regular training session today.
“[Spirit] wasn’t as bad as the media have suggested. Players are able to put bad results behind them.
“There will nearly always be weekend winners and losers [before international breaks]. The Dortmund players have handled the defeat well.
The World Cup winning coach also spoke about compatriot, Jurgen Klopp, and the ongoing speculation as to whether or not he will join the club this week.
"He’s had an extraordinarily successful time in Dortmund. He has released loads of emotions at Dortmund.
"Looking at it from afar, parallels can be drawn between Liverpool and Dortmund with the fantastic supporters’ culture.
“I’m not really privy to the negotiations so I don’t know what the status is. I do know there are talks going on."
