On September 26th, Lionel Messi injured knee ligaments in a La Liga clash against Las Palmas that ruled the Argentine striker out for an estimated eight weeks.
Since the injury many have wondered who would shoulder the burden of Messi's loss between his strike partners Neymar and Luis Suarez. In their two league games since Messi's injury, Neymar has scored five of Barcelona's six league goals.
Ben Lyttleton joined Joe Molloy on Off the Ball's Football Show last night to discuss the great form the Brazilian star is in, after scoring four goals last weekend against Rayo Vallecano. "He's starting on the same position of the three" as he would have when Messi would be playing.
"Suarez's movement is brilliant" which is helping Neymar too. Lyttleton said the game was "personal vindication" for the Brazilian star.
Ben also spoke to Joe about David Moyes' troubles in La Liga at Real Sociedad along with issues between Gerard Houllier and Nicolas Anelka in France.
