John Giles has slammed Jose Mourinho's behaviour towards his Chelsea club doctor and says the Blues manager has "no class".
Club doctor Eva Carneiro is set to be given a reduced role at the club after Mourinho lost his temper when she and physio Jon Fearne entered the field of play against Swansea with the team down to 10 men - despite the fact that Eden Hazard and the match referee had beckoned the medical staff to approach.
On the first Thursday Night Football with John Giles of the season, the Leeds legend told Off The Ball that Mourinho was completely in the wrong.
"I think his behaviour with this particular girl has been absolutely outrageous. She was only doing her job. I might be wrong, but the rules are you can't come on the pitch without the referee's permission," said John.
"[Mourinho] should be blaming Hazard a bit. If he's not hurt, he should be up and ready to go. He knows that there's only a couple of minutes to go. So, what [Mourinho's] saying to the staff, is that the staff should 'know the game.'"
John also added that: "This was total disrespect for a professional person, with that girl and she's never been high profile. I've never seen her showing off. She gets her job done and does it particularly well from what I can see and he has publicly humiliated her. He was ranting and raving on the touchline and giving out to her and as it turns out, she was right."
Assessing the Chelsea manager's historic behaviour, he said that Mourinho had "no class" and "childish".
