Jurgen Klopp "felt pretty alone" after Liverpool fans left their game early

Jurgen Klopp suffered his first loss as Liverpool manager yesterday as his side lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace. Despite the loss, it was Klopp's post match comments that has garnered the most attention.

The German claimed that he "felt pretty alone" after he saw Liverpool fans leaving Anfield before the end of their game with the London side. Crystal Palace defender and Liverpool fan Scott Dann scored a goal in the 82nd minute which proved to be the winner for Alan Pardew's side.

"82 minutes the goal? Twelve minutes to go. I saw many people leaving the stadium"

Klopp told the press after the match, that the side need to make sire fans have a reason to stay until the final whistle. "I felt pretty alone at this moment. We decide when it's over. Between 82 and 94, you can make eight goals if you want! But you have to work for it."

He hopes the side will bounce back from the loss and learn from their mistakes. “It feels so bad, because it was absolutely not necessary. We have to feel this, keep this, and know why we don't want this anymore.”

Liverpool currently lie tenth in the Premier League ahead of the international break. They return to action on November 21st, away to league leaders Manchester City.
