Jurgen Klopp writes emotional letter to Irish fan mourning his brother

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has written an emotional letter to an Irish Liverpool fan who lost his brother at a young age.

Callum McGarvey passed away due to an asthma attack at just 12 years old, and his brother Christopher wrote a beautiful letter to the club so close to the brothers' hearts.

In it, Christopher told how Callum idolised Sadio Mane and was buried in a kit bearing the Guinean's name.

Christopher and family were delighted to receive a reply from Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Jurgen Klopp letter

"Dear Chris,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to tell me Callum's story. It is clear that as a brother you loved him very much and continue to love him very much, and it is also obvious that Callum was a special person - so I really appreciate being given the opportunity to learn about him.

"As Liverpool manager, I am constantly reminded of the devotion that our supporters have for this club and it is this, more than anything else, that makes it so special. Callum was part of that and he is still part of that. It is not just about the supporters in the stadium, it is also about all of the fans who cannot be there for whatever reason and we carry them with us in everything we do.

"I wish I had the words to do justice to this situation but I haven't. But I can tell you that your family are in our thoughts and that everything that we do is for supporters like Callum, who give everything that they have for LFC.

"I also hope that in time you will be able to take comfort from the moments that you were able to share as brothers, whether that was following Liverpool or whatever. Having read your letter I can certainly say that he meant a great deal to you and you meant a great deal to him, and I thank you for sharing this with me.

"Please look after yourself and pass on my thoughts and best wishes to your family.

"You'll Never Walk Alone."
