PICS: 'And now you're gonna believe us' | Liverpool players react to winning the league

After 30 long years, Liverpool have been crowned Premier League champions following Chelsea's 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

Liverpool have clinched the league title with seven games to spare, lying 23 points clear of Pep Guardiola's side. It is the earliest stage in the season that the Premier League has been won and it has never been won so late in the year, syncing perfectly with the anomaly that is 2020.

Jürgen Klopp's men defeated Crystal Palace 4-0 on Wednesday evening, the result of which meant that City had to take all three points away to Chelsea to stall Liverpool claiming their first-ever Premier League title.

Social media has been abuzz with reaction to this momentous achievement, as we saw on Thursday night once the final whistle blew in west London, including a special tribute to Liverpool supporter, Sean Cox.

Club captain Jordan Henderson joined Klopp on Sky Sports once the title was confirmed, and neither could hide their emotion.

The rest of the Liverpool players have been across social media since Liverpool were officially declared Premier League champions. Here is what they said:

Star forward Mo Salah posted a picture to his 39 million Instagram followers of him alongside teammates Dejan Lovren, Roberto Firmino, Alisson Becker and Fabinho.

Meanwhile, Sadio Mané, scorer of the fourth goal against Palace earlier this week, simply shared this image with his 7.4 million followers.

Left-back Andy Robertson may have won the award for funniest reaction, with this screenshot posted to his Instagram account of several missed calls from fellow full-back sensation, Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Meanwhile, midfielder James Milner, now a three-time Premier League champion, posted this to his Twitter account.

But perhaps skipper Henderson summed it up most succinctly, posting the same picture as Milner with the added caption, 'And now you're gonna believe us'.
