London teams finish well in "Property Premier League"

Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham all finished well in the "Property Premier League" released by search engine Zoopla.

The list measures the average value of each location with a football team in England's top flight last season.

Unsurprisingly, London teams topped the list in average home prices, while those of in the greater Manchester area and Manchester City tended to struggle.

"Leicester might have topped the league in the beautiful game this season, but it’s the booming commuter-belt appeal of Watford that has secured the Hornets the top spot when it comes to increases in property values in recent months" said spokesperson for Zoopla, Lawrence Hall.

"We will have to wait and see whether Leicester’s surprise success this season translates into a property boom over the next twelve months."
