Manchester United are in the grips of another injury crisis ahead of this weekend

Manchester United make the trip to Vicarage Road this Saturday lunchtime and Louis van Gaal will have to work with a depleted squad following the international break.

Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Anthony Martial, Marouane Fellaini and Antonio Valencia are among those currently unavailable to play due to illness and injury.

Martial was pictured leaving France's 2-0 friendly defeat to England on crutches, while captain Wayne Rooney, who scored in the game, will miss out due to illness.

Carrick sustained a serious looking ankle injury in stoppage time during England's friendly against Spain last week, while Marouane Fellaini and Antonio Valencia also miss out.

Valencia is likely to miss a large chunk of the season after undergoing foot surgery.

Van Gaal has also indicated that auxiliary striker James Wilson may not be fit to play a full 90 minutes.
