TEAM NEWS: Manchester United vs Brighton starting XIs named

The Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion starting XIs have been named by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Graham Potter ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash between the pair at Old Trafford.

Sitting 2nd in the Premier League table as club action resumed after the international break, Manchester United were not punished by Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City as they missed their chance to overtake United on Saturday evening.

Defeated by runaway league leaders Manchester City, Solskjaer's team will have the chance to compound Leicester's misery if they defeat Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday evening.

Win tonight against Graham Potter's team and Manchester United will put four points between themselves and 3rd place; taking one step closer to assuring Champions League football next season.

For Brighton, Newcastle United's defeat to Tottenham Hotspur earlier this afternoon eased the pressure on them somewhat as they look over their shoulder at the relegation places.

Nevertheless, with eight games left to play after tonight's match with United, Potter's team will be keen to do all that they can to ensure there is no drama on that front in the coming weeks.

With that in mind, both sides have named strong starting XIs for this evening's clash.
