Massimo Cellino challenges Mourinho to show he has "balls" and manage Leeds

Since Jose Mourinho won the Champions League with FC Porto in 2004, the Portuguese manager has been in the fortunate position to take charge of some of the wealthiest and most storied clubs.

They have included Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan. But what would he be like at a club with far less money and the need to actually build from the bottom up?

Leeds United's controversial owner Massimo Cellino has challenged Mourinho to take on clubs like the one he owns.

The Yorkshire club, of course, have been way down in the second tier Championship despite their own impressive history.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Cellino said he had recently spoken to Mourinho and challenged him.

"I told him, 'If you had the balls, you should come and manage Leeds. Bring Leeds into the Premier League and then the Champions League. That's balls,'" he said.

"You want to play football -- come with me to Leeds. Mourinho, like others, has to ask himself if he is still a coach. How do you find out? By going to Manchester United?"

Cellino also claimed soon-to-be Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti would like the Leeds job some day if they are back in the Premier League.
