Missed any of today's football action? Here's your Premier League Round-Up

Seven games this afternoon for your delectation, a feast of goals and some inspired shooting by one the league's most prolific strikers.

We begin at Selhurst Park, where Crystal Palace ran out convincing 2-0 winners against West Brom.

Alan Pardew's side made it three wins on the bounce in all competitions and a second consecutive clean sheet as they completely dominated the visitors this afternoon.

West Brom held out for as long as they could, after being bombarded by eight shots on target in total and Yannick Bolasie finally made the breakthrough on 68 minutes.

Yohan Cabaye rounded off the scoring with a penalty to ensure the points and give the scoreline a more accurate reflection on the game's proceedings.

Manchester City bounced back from their opening Champions League group defeat to Juventus to beat Borussia Monchengladbach in midweek and shifted from crisis to cruise control thanks to a classy performance by Sergio Aguero this afternoon.

The Argentinian became only the fifth player in Premier League history to score five goals in a single game as his side ran out 6-1 winners against Newcastle.

Aleksandar Mitrovic opened the scoring on 18 minutes, but five goals in the space of 20 minutes from Aguero gave Manchester City top spot until Sunday at least.

Tim Sherwood will be feeling the pressure in the Aston Villa hot seat after another defeat, this time at the hands of Stoke City.

A second half Marko Arnautovic goal was enough to hand the visitors a 1-0 win at Villa Park.

The loss means Aston Villa are without a win since the opening day of the season against Bournemouth and have suffered four consecutive league defeats.

Another manager who's future is in doubt is Dick Advocaat, who's Sunderland side drew 2-2 with West Ham at the Stadium of Light.

Steven Fletcher gave the home side the lead after eight minutes and after Jeremain Lens doubled their advantage, it looked as though a first league win of the season was on the cards.

But, as with so many performances this season, their defensive frailties were exposed and West Ham scored twice in 15 minutes to give the visitors a share of the spoils.

Sunderland will also be without Lens for their next game, he was dismissed after picking up two yellow cards.

Promoted sides Bournemouth and Watford shared the points at the Vitality Stadium, both sides will have their goalkeepers to thanks after a 1-1 draw.

Glenn Murray went from hero to villain after his goal on 28 minutes was cancelled out by Watford's leading scoring Odion Ighalo on the stroke of half time.

With five minutes remaining, Murray had the chance to give his side the victory but couldn't convert from the spot.

Leicester City continued their march on the top of the table with a 2-1 away win against Norwich in the final of the day's 3pm kick-offs.

Jamie Vardy continued his impressive run of form, scoring in his last five consecutive league games and converted a spot kick on 28 minutes.

Jeffrey Schlupp doubled the home side's advantage before Dieumerci Mbokani gave Norwich City a consolation goal and hope of a resurgence, but the Foxes held on for their fourth win of the season.

In the day's late game, Chelsea slumped to another defeat, this time at home to Southampton.

The Saints came from a goal down to win 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, Sadio Mane's effort the decider just past the hour mark.
