INFOGRAPHIC: O'Driscoll's last tango in Paris tops the ratings

Ireland’s Six Nations win over France was the most-watched sports programme on domestic television last year.

The 20 top-rated sports shows were all broadcast by RTE, with the Six Nations, FIFA World Cup and GAA championships drawing most viewers in 2014.

RTE2’s live coverage of Ireland’s triumph in Paris - Brian O'Driscool's au revoir to the green jersey - was watched by 891,000 people.

The World Cup Final between Germany and Argentina came in second with 859,000 tuning in, while the All-Ireland football final between Kerry and Donegal was next on 831,000 viewers.

Kilkenny’s victory over Tipperary in the drawn hurling decider was fourth on 796,000.

No sports outside of Gaelic games, rugby and soccer made the top 20.
