Crystal Palace have been having a pretty decent season overall as they sit seventh in the table.

But there is a perception that they need to beef up their strikeforce with a regular goalscorer in order to take the next step.

Former Palace boss Neil Warnock suggested that QPR forward Charlie Austin would be a good addition, when he told TalkSport that Palace "need a striker definitely and he would fit the bill. He would score goals."

But current Palace manager Alan Pardew has lashed out at that suggestion and at the man who once managed Palace and also had a recent spell as QPR caretaker boss.

"Neil Warnock was the manager here and he didn't do very well so I am not really interested in his opinion," said Pardew today, adding that the Eagles had "no interest" in Charlie Austin.
