It's likely that many a Premier League manager has warned their players to avoid getting riled up by Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
Yet Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista fell for his fellow Brazilian-born player's attempts to wind him and his team-mates up, culminating in a red card during Chelsea's 2-0 win over their London rivals.
Ex-Chelsea midfielder Pat Nevin was on Off The Ball as always on a Monday and gave his take on the controversial Costa, before talking about his experiences dealing with wind-up merchants.
"I played against players for 19-20 years professionally who were doing that to me all the time. Do you know what reaction I gave them? Nothing! Absolutely nothing!" he said.
"If they came over and kicked me or came over and did anything, complete shark eyes, turned around, get the ball, run at you. You're not going to intimidate or affect me. In fact, I know you're worried about me because that's what you're doing. It's good psychology to look at them and say 'very good' and get on with it."
Pat also chatted about Anthony Martial who scored three goals in his first two games for Manchester United, having arrived as an unknown quantity on Transfer Deadline Day.
