Alessandro Del Piero says Juventus will do their best to hold on to Paul Pogba

Alessandro Del Piero says that Juventus will be eager to hold on to Paul Pogba, for at least one more season.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the former captain of the Italian club said:

"Pogba is a great player, has great potential and has already shown that to everybody. I don't know what's going to happen, there's a lot of talk and I think Juventus want to keep him for at least one more year. But definitely United are a huge club, it's also tough for him to decide what's best. As an Italian and a former Juventus player, I hope he stays for at least one more year."

Del Piero added that Pogba faces a tough decision in relation to the world record offer of £100m coming from his former club Manchester United that would amount to earnings of £300,000 per week.

And it is believed that United chief executive Ed Woodward has begun negotiations with the Serie A club about the potential acquisition of the 23-year-old French man who left United in 2012 on a free transfer.
