Chelsea have beaten Manchester United to the capture of Barcelona attacker Pedro.
Despite the Spanish international being linked with a move to United all summer, the 28-year-old is now en-route to London to discuss personal terms with Chelsea, who have agreed to meet the £21M release clause in his contract.
United reported refused to match the buy-out clause, even though the player was in favour of a move to Old Trafford.
United We Stand editor Andy Mitten had confirmed to Off The Ball that Pedro had eyes firmly fixed on Old Trafford before the clear change of direction.
Pedro will be Chelsea's second signing in less than a week after the arrival of Ghana defender Baba Rahman.
