Pirlo's comments on Pogba won't encourage United to bid

Andrea Pirlo has cast doubt on Manchester United's hopes of bringing Paul Pogba back to Manchester United.

The Juventus midfielder left Old Trafford in 2012 over a lack of opportunities and has developed into one of the world's best midfielders.

As a result, the French international has been linked with most of Europe's elite clubs but his Juve team-mate Pirlo thinks past events may prevent him from choosing Man United when he does depart Turin.

"Whatever the future is for him I don't see it being Manchester United. He didn't feel he was treated well there. I know that was under Sir Alex Ferguson and now there is a new coach, but I do not seeing him returning to a club where he was not treated well," said Pirlo.

Recently, The Irish Times' Rome correspondent Paddy Agnew told Off The Ball, said that Juve are likely to "cash in" on Pogba this summer as part of their long-term business plans.

Pogba has recently returned from injury and marked his comeback with a goal at the weekend.
