The now famous penalty scored by Leo Messi and Luis Suárez is one that will live long in the memory, and has received almost universal praise.
Footballers from around the globe gave it the seal of approval as Messi and his team-mates concocted a plan to replicate the penalty move scored by Cruyff (and missed by Pires and Henry).
From Gary Lineker to Troy Deeney, the footballing world was in awe at what they had seen and that anyone had the audacity to try it, let alone pull it off.
Messi. Suarez. You. Are. Ridiculous!

Last min decision to go Barcelona so my son could watch the game and after what we just witnessed I'm now super dad 😠front 3 are a joke 🙈
— Troy Deeney (@T_Deeney) February 14, 2016
Omg what am I seeing at Barcelona #messi #suarez 😜😜😜⚽ï¸ðŸ™Š

I give up. Barca making football look like a game of heads and volleys
— Tyrone Mings (@OfficialTM_3) February 14, 2016
However, despite that almost universal praise, there have been a number of dissenting voices who thought that the actions of the Barcelona front three qualified as unsportsmanlike behaviour, notably Kilkenny's Richie Power.
Just seen the Messi penalty, complete disrespect to the opposition. Not something you expect from the best player in the world #notimpressed
— Richie Power (@power_richie) February 14, 2016
Power wasn't the only one, however, as Tomás Guasch of Marca was not pleased with it either, saying that if Ronaldo and Benzema had tried that, people would have been calling for them to be sent to the front line in Afghanistan.
