Leicester City are on the lookout for a manager and Ireland boss Martin O'Neill would be a popular choice based on his past achievements with them.
But despite what certain elements within the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four might say, 2+2 does not equal 5 - not for the bookies and not for the rest of the world.
Irish Independent football writer and Off The Ball Football Show Dan McDonnell has been digging into the O'Neill to Leicester rumours today and he joined us on the show tonight to tell us what he knows.
"Certainly, from what I can gather from the FAI end of things, they don't seem to be bracing themselves for the departure of the manager. So we're left in this situation, where quite plausibly, Leicester are looking at their options; naturally he's someone you would think they might consider and something as simple as that leads to a couple of bets and the certainty that he's the man," said Dan.
"We've been here before with Ireland jobs, we've been here before with other jobs. It doesn't mean that he's not on their radar, but nor does it mean that he's a certainty either because a few bets have been lodged and bookies close the market. Bookies close the market for very little these days."
