Sligo Rovers' players have decided to hand a portion of their wages back to the club after the FAI Cup defeat to Longford Town at the weekend.
They were knocked out by the First Division side on Saturday.
The players said they made the gesture because the club is a community-run entity and the result will have a knock-on impact on their finances.

They also added that they are in support of manager Gerard Lyttle who is coming under increasing pressure due to recent results.
"We feel as a group we let the supporters down and the people that fund the club week to week," said Rovers vice-captain Rhys McCabe, who was wearing the armband against Longford.
"We also let the gaffer down. We owe him a lot. He's a great manager and we should be doing better than what we showed last weekend.
"There's nothing we can do about last week now unfortunately.
"All we can do is go out Friday and show that it means for us to play for the club and the gaffer and continue it for the rest of the season."
The club have acknowledged the gesture but refused to comment further.
Sligo Rovers are currently 8th in the League of Ireland Premier Division, five points clear of second from bottom Limerick.
