For many football fans in this part of the world, Matteo Darmian didn't appear on too many radars until last summer's World Cup when he played for Italy against England in a engrossing group stage match.
But for seasoned watchers of Italian football, the AC Milan youth graduate had been building a reputation for himself at Serie A side Torino.
And now it looks like the right-back could be moving to the Premier League with reports that Manchester United have agreed a fee of about £12.5M (€18M).
With Dani Alves (staying at Barcelona) and Liverpool's new signing Nathaniel Clyne no longer options, it also reduces the chances of Ireland's Seamus Coleman making the switch from Everton to Old Trafford.

Torino have mostly gone for a 3-5-2 formation in recent seasons, which puts a lot of emphasis on the wing-backs.
Darmian has been the lead option in the right wing-back slot, although he can also do a job on the other side, where he was often stationed last season.
