Ireland women's international Stephanie Roche has been let go by her club Houston Dash.
The FIFA Puskas award runner-up has been released from the squad to create space for new signings as rules oblige teams in the National Women's Soccer League to stick to a 20-player limit.
Roche only signed for the American club three months ago and has since made two substitute appearances.
Confirming the decision, the 25-year-old shared her disappointment on Twitter:
Very disappointed to finish up with Houston Dash. Impossible to appreciate the highs without experiencing the lows #ToughDay

In quotes published on Keeper Notes, Houston Dash coach Randy Waldrum elaborated on why they have let Roche go: "I really would have liked to have given her the time to be with us a season because I think she was getting better and better and adapting. Unfortunately, as I told her, as bad as we have been defensively, we had to make some moves. Two internationals, and the international spots being so critical, we had to let somebody go."
