The Kick Off: UCD keep Irish hopes alive in Europe

GAELIC FOOTBALL

Tyrone have made two injury enforced changes to their team for tomorrows qualifier with Meath in Omagh.

Niall Morgan replaces Micky O'Neill in goals and Joe McMahon takes over from Justin McMahon in defence.

With an appearance in the game, Sean Cavanagh ties Conor Gormley as the Tyrone player with most appearances (75) in Championship Football.

Cathal McShane returns to the substitutes after injury.

Elswehere. there's another blow for Tipperary ahead of their clash with Louth , Steven O'Brien has been ruled out through injury, George Hannigan was also ruled out earlier in the week.

Antony Masterson continues in goal for Wexford as they go to Derry.

Graeme Doyle is at centre back while Ciaran Lyng plays at corner forward.

For Westmeath, John Connellan replaces Darren Daly at corner forward for the Leinster final with Dublin on Sunday.

TENNIS

The top three seeds are all still standing ahead of Mens semi-finals day at Wimbledon.

That match will be followed by a repeat of the 2012 final as home favourite Andy Murray goes up against the seven-time champion Roger Federer.

SOCCER

UCD are still flying the flag in Europe - but Cork City and St Pat's both crashed-out of last night's Europa League qualifiers.

10-man UCD have advanced to a second round qualifier against Slovan Bratislava of Slovakia after an away-goals win over Luxembourg side, Dudelange.

But Cork City were beaten in extra-time by their hosts, KR Reykjavik.

And St Pat's crashed-out 4-1 on aggregate against Skonto Riga of Lativa.

There's two games tonight in the Airtricity League First Division.

Cabinteely host Shelbourne in a Dublin-derby at Stradbrook, while bottom side Waterford United take-on Finn Harps at the RSC.

Both games kick-off at 19:45.

CYCLING

It remains to be seen who will wear the yellow jersey ahead of today's 7th stage of the Tour de France.

Race leader Tony Martin withdrew from the Tour last night after confirming that he had suffered a broken collarbone during the closing stages of yesterday's action.

Team Sky's Chris Froome is now the leader, but he may opt not to wear the jersey for today's action.

Dan Martin will start the day in 33rd place overall.

GOLF

Shane Lowry and Graeme McDowell are tied for 10th place at the start of the second round at the Scottish Open.

CRICKET

Ireland's cricketers are back in action today.

John Bracewell's side continue their bid to qualify for the ICC World Twenty20 as they host Namibia in Stormont.

RACING

There's racing today in Cork and in Navan.

The action begins in Navan, where the opening race is at 5.35, while the first of a seven-race jumps card gets going in Cork at 5.50.
