The Weekend in Numbers: After 112 years in the top flight, Everton finally face Bournemouth in a league game this weekend

The top two face off this weekend in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, as league leaders Leicester City welcome Manchester United to the King Power Stadium.

If anyone told you that they predicted before the start of the season, that this game would be a top of the table clash, you can simply call them a liar. While all eyes will be on Jamie Vardy in that game there will be plenty more to keep an eye on this weekend.

Is Roberto Martinez finally getting the best out of his Everton team?

Seven goals in seven Premier League games for Romelu Lukaku has seen The Toffees reach seventh place in the league. They face the quickest starters in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. It might surprise you that that team is Bournemouth.

Eddie Howe's side have scored five goals in the first 15 minutes of league games this season. To put that into context, Roberto Martinez's men have failed to score inside the same period since the start of the season.

Bournemouth's rapid rise up the leagues is proven by this being the first ever league fixture between the two teams. Everton have spent 112 seasons in the top flight.

The Blues have scored 13 goals in their last three league games. If they fall behind, Martinez will be confident of turning the game around. Bournemouth have dropped nine points from winning positions this season.

Will Tottenham cause more anguish to Jose?

The depth of Chelsea's fall can be seen in the delight of beating Norwich last weekend. On Sunday afternoon, they face Tottenham, who are unbeaten since the opening day of the season.

Chelsea's poor form can linked back to New Year's Day when they lost to Tottenham in White Hart Lane 5-3. That's where they travel this weekend and Spurs will be out to cause more pain for the League Champions.

Spurs have had more shot on target this season than any other team in the top flight with 88. They will look to give Asmir Begovic a busy day in the Chelsea net.

Chelsea's record in not the greatest in the North London venue. They have won just one of their last nine league games away to Tottenham. Their general away record is poor too with just one win in the last seven.

Can Mesut Ozil continue his fantastic form?

Arsene Wenger's side will be looking bounce back from last weekends loss to West Brom on Sunday afternoon. They travel to Carrow Road to face a Norwich side that they have lost once to in their last 13 games.

While Jamie Vardy has been getting all the coverage for his form at Leicester, it is hard to ignore the form of Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

The German maestro has had an assist in the last seven games which is a Premier League record. If he to do the same on Sunday against Norwich it is likely to happen in the second half. The Canaries have conceded ten of their last 11 league goals against Wenger's side in the final 45 minutes.

Will Vardy the victor write his name into history?

We had to leave the best until last. Jamie Vardy, who this time six years ago was with Stocksbridge Park Steels can overtake Ruud van Nistelrooy in the Premier League history books.

Since the league was created in 1992, no player has scored in 11 Premier League games in a row. Vardy scored in his tenth consecutive game last week to join van Nistelrooy as the top of the charts. Leicester play the Dutch stars old team this weekend, Manchester United.

The last game between the sides in Leicester saw the home side make history. They were the first team to beat United in a league game after coming from two goals behind. They won that game 5-3.

The two sides met before in a Premier League top of the table clash. In 2000, United beat Leicester 3-0 at Filbert Street. The Foxes finished 13th that season.
