Both UCD and Shamrock Rovers have been drawn against tough opposition in the Third Qualfiying Round of the Europa League.
If UCD are to overcome the one goal deficit against Slovan Bratislava next week in the UCD Bowl, they travel to Russia to face FC Krasnodar in what would be over a 8,000km round trip.
Shamrock Rovers' hope of progression look slim after a 2-0 loss last night to Noway's Odd in Tallaght. Should they overcome the Norwegians next week, Pat Fenlon's side will return to Scandanavia to face Denmark's Randers of Elfsborg from Sweden. That game remains scoreless after the first leg.
Two Premier League teams were also in the draw. Southampton travel to the Netherlands to face Vitesse Arnhem as manager Ronald Koeman returns to the club he managed in 2000.
Should West Ham United overcome Malta's Birkirkaka, they will face either Inverness Caledonian Thistle or Astra Giurgiu from Romania. The Scottish side lost the first leg 1-0 last night.
Those ties will take place on July 30th and August 6th.
